In alignment with the mission of Student Affairs Communications and Marketing (SACM), we offer free design services within the Division of Student Affairs. We strive to maintain UMBC Style Guide brand integrity, align message and tone across the division, and create visual consistency across our departments.
This service and mission extends to UMBC student organizations. A key goal of our area is to offer marketing support for UMBC student organizations through commonvision, our student print and design center. We offer free design to student organizations, whether it is in support of organization branding, event promotion and marketing, or awareness campaigns for getting students involved.
Consultation / Brainstorming Meetings
SACM is a great resource to bring in when you are starting a project or not sure how to go about marketing your initiative. Bringing us in at the beginning of a project can be beneficial to the trajectory and deliverables of your campaign or event. You can request a consultation via our Design Request Form.
Design
Graphic Design
Whether it is large-scale campus-wide campaigns, departmental brochures, booklet design, or data visualization, we offer a wide range of design services to meet your needs. Design is not one size fits all – we are happy to offer options for design projects of any scale.
Digital Design
We can assist with your area’s project or brand by creating digital assets such as myUMBC thumbnails, avatars, social media posts, digital signage, and more to provide consistency and stay within brand alignment.
Animation
Animated content grabs more attention than still images alone and has the added benefit of telling a story over time. Our services can offer animated pieces to accompany or incorporate into existing video pieces as well.

External Departments
Our design services are not exclusive to the Division of Student Affairs, external departments can also utilize our services with an additional design fee. The cost of design varies depending on the scope of work and final deliverables. You can always meet with us to discuss your request prior to us proceeding with the project.
